PURPOSE: To obtain a green molding, which may be fired to a thin ceramic sheet or tape, by adding a binder and plasticizer to a decomposition product obtd. by hydrolyzing an alcohol soln. consisting of two kinds of specific metal alkoxides to form a slip compd. of ceramics and molding this compd.
CONSTITUTION: The unfired ceramic molding is obtd. by the following stages (a) to (e): (a) A hydrolyzable soln. is prepd. from at least one kind of the compds. expressed by the formula: A(OR)x (A is Sr, Ba, etc.), at least one kind of the compds. expressed by the formula: B(OR)x (B is Tr, Zr, etc.) (where R is a group expressed by CyHz: (y) is an integer from 1 to 10; (z) is an integer of (y), 2y, 2y+1 to 2y-1: (x) is an integer from 1 to 7)) and alcohol. Both compds. described above are so compounded as to form the compd. ABO3-Δ (Δ is a number from 0 to 1.33). (b) The soln. (a) is hydrolyzed. (c) The resulted dispersion is thickened to form precipitate. (d) A binder soln., plasticizer and, in some cases, releasing agent are intimately mixed with this precipitate to form the slip compd. of the ceramics. (e) This slip compd. is molded.
