PURPOSE: To provide a binder material for use in a long life EL lamp stable against varying environment incl. temp., humidity, etc., by adapting a copolymer of copolimerized monomers and monomers of specified compounds as a binder for the light emission layer and insulative reflection layer of a dispersion type EL lamp.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of α-fluoro-acryiic acid cyano-ethyl ester and N,N'-dimethyl formaldehyde is agitated so that a uniform binder solution is prepared. The obtained solution is divided in two; to one of the portions a certain amount of phosphor powder (ZnS;Cu) is added and dispersed uniformly so that a paste for light emission layer is prepared, while to the other portion a certain amount of the powder of Ba titanate is added and dispersed uniformly so that a paste for insulative reflection layer is prepared. By means of screen printing, the paste for insulative reflection layer is attached onto a base board of aluminum sheet, followed by drying, and thereover the paste for light emission layer is printed. On the conductive surface of a transparent conductive film a silber paste is printed as a feeder wire, and upon installing a lead electrode consisting of phosphor bronze, the light emission layer is overlapped followed by heating and pressure attachment, and a moisture preventive sheet is attached by pressure so that a seal is generated, and thus an EL lamp is achieved.
