Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a display apparatus by which a running route between points designated out of j present position, a passage place and a destination which are set in a route search is stored and by which the running route of a section which is deviated from a search route is stored.
SOLUTION: In an apparatus, a route up to a destination from the present position of an own vehicle is searched, and its search route is displayed on a display means 109. A running-route storage means 106 stores the running route of the own vehicle. A storage-section designation means 107 designates the starting point and the end point of the running route, to be stored by the running-route storage means 106, out of the position of the own vehicle, the passage place and the destination. A judgment means 108 judges that the position of the own vehicle is situated in the designated starting point or the designated end point, and it instructs the start and the finish of the storage operation of the running route. In such a way, a running route between points designated out of the present position, the passage place and the destination is stored. In addition, the judgment means 108 judges that the position of the own vehicle is deviated from the search route and that the position of the own vehicle is returned again to the search route. While the position of the own vehicle is deviated from the search route, the storage operation of the running route is instructed to the running-route storage means 106.
