A display body includes at least a base material, a relief structure formation layer provided on one surface of the base material, and a reflecting layer covering the relief structure formation layer. Top surfaces of convex portions and bottom surfaces of concave portions of a relief structure of the relief structure formation layer are substantially parallel with the surface of the base material, and the convex portions and concave portions are arranged at random intervals so that an average interval between adjacent convex portions and concave portions is within a range of 1 to 3 μm. The relief structure formation layer includes linear and curved relief structure regions, and the curved relief structure region has a gradient angle, and differences in height between top surfaces of convex portions and bottom surfaces of concave portions which constitute the curved relief structure region, are uniform throughout the region and are within a range of 0.1 to 0.5 μm, whereby an observed image is colored in soft tones of light obtained by removing light of a partial spectral region from white light when the white light is made to impinge on the curved relief structure region.
