Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control device and a control method for the same that enlarges and displays a more preferred enlargement range for a user according to a situation when a live view image is enlarged and displayed in equipment capable of displaying information on focus.SOLUTION: A display control device includes display setting means for setting whether a display item 1301 indicating focus information on a focus detection position is displayed (A) or not (B), enlarging means for controlling to display a live view image while enlarging the live view image at a larger magnification than a normal magnification, and control means for controlling to enlarge and display an enlargement range based on a focus detection position before enlargement when enlargement is performed by enlarging means while it is set by display setting means to display a display item (B), and enlarge and display an enlargement range non-based on the focus detection position before enlargement when enlargement is performed by the enlarging means while it is set by the display setting means that no display item is displayed and also a specific operation mode is set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
