Abstract:
To reliably notify a user of quick report information in a simplified display when the quick report information is acquired.SOLUTION: A news flash acquisition section 191 acquires character information in "a news flash" and sends it to a control section 199. An emergency warning acquisition section 192 acquires caption information in "an emergency warning" and sends it to the control section 199. When receiving such quick report information, the control section 199 extracts character strings from the information. Next, the control section 199 determines whether or not a keyword such as "tsunami" or "earthquake" is included in the extracted character strings, performs selection processing such as the sorting-out of duplicate character strings, and then determines whether or not the number of characters of the selected character strings is equal to or less than a prescribed number. If "tsunami", "earthquake", or the like is included in the character strings, and if the result of the prescribed number determination is negative, the control section 199 displays the phenomenon character string such as "tsunami" or "earthquake" as an icon and adjusts the number of characters to be displayed on a second display unit 175 to the prescribed number or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
