Title:
DISPLAY CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC REPETITIVE KEYING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63231612
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent undesired write on a screen and cursor movement by displaying a character or the like corresponding to a key on a display device at the time of continuously depressing this key as if the key were repeatedly scanned many times during the depression and suppressing the automatic repetitive keying function if the display position is in an end of the display screen.

CONSTITUTION: When a key, for example, a cursor move key on a keyboard 10 is continuously depressed, the character displayed at the first time of depression is displayed. When a flag control means 15 detects that the cursor move key is still depressed as the result of reoperation, a display control means 18 updates a cursor pointer 16 and displays the character because a flag register 14 is turned on. If the cursor position is in the right end, the flag register 14 is turned off by reset. Thereafter, display is not indicated to the display control means 18 and the cursor is not moved because the flag register 14 is turned off.
