PURPOSE: To prevent a picture from being stained owing to a defect of fixation by sending a signal in the stage of the completion of cleaning for one-side copying or when the temperature of a fixation member attains to set temperature for both-side copying, and performing copy-ready display.

CONSTITUTION: When a switch 26 is turned off for one-side copying, an H-level signal is inputted from an NOT circuit 25 to an OR circuit 24 and an AND circuit 23. When the circuit 23 inputs a cleaning completion detection signal from a detecting member 11, it is inputted to a display device 19 to obtain the copy ready display. When the switch 26 is turned on for both-side copying, the H- level signal is inputted to an AND circuit 22 all the time. When the temperature of the fixation member 2 is higher than the set temperature, the resistance of a thermistor 12' is reduced, so a voltage lower than a reference voltage is inputted to an operational amplifier 20 and inputted to the circuit 22; and then it is inputted to the circuits 24 and 23 and an H-level detection signal is outputted from the detecting member 11 after the cleaning and inputted to the circuit 23, thereby displaying the copy ready message similarly.
