Abstract:
To solve the problem in which a conventional display device may not appropriately display a symbol image in an area.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a display unit; a communication unit that can communicate with an external device; a storage unit that can store data at coordinates corresponding to the display unit; and a control unit that generates data related to a symbol image based on a command received by the communication unit, stores the data with an area and a starting point set at the coordinates in the storage unit, and reads out the data from the storage unit and causes the display unit to display the data. When storing the data in the storage unit, the control unit determines whether or not the data can be stored within a range of the area with reference to the starting point at the coordinates, and when determining that the data cannot be stored within the range of the area, changes a position of the starting point or changes the data amount when generating the data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
