Abstract:
To reduce the resource load while suppressing the reduction in the user's experience quality in AR display.SOLUTION: A display device 1 includes a display unit 12 that presents an image to each of the user's eyes, an acquisition unit 141 that acquires image data from an image generation unit 2 that generates image data including a subject A to be displayed on the display unit 12 and a transparent area that is not displayed on the display unit 12, a calculation unit 142 that calculates a depth index indicating the depth of subject A on the basis of the image data, a determination unit 143 that determines either a monaural display mode in which the display unit 12 presents the same image to both eyes or a stereo display mode in which the display unit 12 presents a parallax image to both eyes on the basis of the depth index, and a display control unit 146 that displays the image data on the display unit 12 on the basis of the display mode determined by the determination unit 143.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
