A display device includes: a display section 14 capable of displaying a 3D image; a 3D image generation section 20c for generating plural images that include information on each layer in information having a hierarchical structure and are three-dimensionally displayed at positions corresponding to layers through the display section; a touch panel 15 that is placed over the display section and can detect a position touched by an object; a touch period detection section 20j for detecting a touch period as a touch state when the touch panel is touched; and an input signal reception section 20d for receiving input for the information included in each of the plural images on the basis of the touch position detected by the touch panel and the touch period detected by the touch period detection section 20j.
