PURPOSE: To operate and display the distances from a starting point up to a destination automatically by inputting the starting point and the intersections up to the destination by means of a keyboard.
CONSTITUTION: When the user moves a D point cursor and pushes an enter key near an intersection 1, the X-coordinates and Y-coordintes of the cursor, and plural pieces of intersection data stored in a program data RAM3a are operated and compared by a microcomputer 1, and an index is displayed at the nearest intersection and is entered as a passing point. More specifically when the user matches the cursor near the intersection 1 and pushes the enter key, the intersection 1 is inputted. Further when the user moves the cursor to near the next intersection 2 and pushes the enter key, the intersection 2 is inputted as the passing point. Here, the distance between the intersection 1 and the intersection 2 is beforehand recorded in the RAM3a, and this distance is cumulated on the distance between the starting point and the intersection 1 and the distance from the starting point up to the intersection 2 is displayed on the screen 11a of a display 11.
