Abstract:
To provide a display device equipped with a display part, with the display part used in a bent state, and constructed so as to ease internal stresses generated in the display part, and a manufacturing method for the display device.SOLUTION: The display device is constituted so that, in a state where a display panel 1 having a display part 3 is supported at a support part 2 while being bent, a bending moment acting, from the support part 2, upon a substrate 4 on which the display part 3 is formed is defined as a first moment M1, and in such a state, a stress relieving part 6 is arranged in contact with the substrate 4 and then an external force is applied to the stress relieving part 6, and a second moment M2 that is a bending moment in a direction reverse to the first moment M1 acts upon the substrate 4. This structure is obtained by preparing the display panel 1 first and then forming or attaching the stress relieving part 6 so as to be in contact with the display panel 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4B
