Abstract:
To provide a reliable display device and its manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a substrate; an insulation layer disposed in contact with a first surface of the substrate; a display region having an array of a plurality of pixels including transistor disposed on the insulation layer and a display element; a terminal region disposed on an outer region of the display region on the insulation layer; and interconnection disposed between the display region and the terminal region. The insulation layer includes an opening for exposing the first surface side of the substrate on the region between the display region and the terminal region. The interconnection has contact with an upper surface of the insulation layer and has contact with an exposed surface of the substrate at the opening. The exposed surface of the substrate has larger surface asperity than the substrate region contacting with the insulation layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
