The display device 100 receives an information signal from a base device 200, and displays on an LCD 108 main display information that is a video image, corresponding to a signal for displaying the information signal. When displaying on the LCD 108 a control panel for accepting an operation input from a user, the display device 100 controls a size change processing part 105, to change the size and the position of an indication of the main display information so as not to have them overlap with the display of the control panel.
