The display device with the panel type speaker is equipped with a housing, the vibration panel held at a part section provided to the housing, an elastic holding member that makes the holding part of the housing hold a peripheral portion of the vibration panel, and the exciting element which is fixed to the vibration panel and excites the vibration panel to generate flexural vibrations, and characterized in that vibrations of the exciting element are efficiently transmitted to the diaphragm by making holding rigidity between a portion of the holding part of the housing nearby the exciting element smaller than that between other portions of the holding part and the vibration panel.
