To provide a display device which can reduce sticking of a screen even when a still image is displayed for a long time.
A display device is provided with a display image adjustment circuit 104 and a microcomputer 107. The circuit 104 applies γ correction to a digital R, G, B signal S103 when it is receiving a negative/positive inversion control signal S107b at low-level and supplies a signal S104a to a driver 105 and displays a normal image on a PDP(plasma display panel) 106, and inverts brightness and darkness of the digital R, G, B signal S103 when it is receiving a negative/positive inversion control signal S107b at high-level and supplies a signal S104b to the driver 105 and displays an inversion image for approximately the same time as display time of the normal image on the PDP(plasma display panel) 106. The microcomputer 107 supplies the negative/positive inversion control signal S107b at low-level for a prescribed time, then changes it to high-level and supplies it to the display image adjustment circuit 104 for approximately the same time as the prescribed time.
