Abstract:
To realize a display device with which both prevention of leakage of an optical adhesive to a side and narrowing of width of a frame area are achieved.SOLUTION: In a display device 1 comprising a display area 11 in which a video is displayed and a frame area 12 that encloses the foregoing, a display panel 2 having a light emitting part 21 used for video display and a non-light emitting part 22 located in the frame area 12 on the outside of the foregoing is held in a rear case 3 in the manner of being partly bent, and a first bend 23 that is a bent portion of the display panel 2 and a second bend 51 that is a bent portion of a cover panel 5 that covers the foregoing are in contact, a gap between the display panel 2 and the cover panel 5 being filled with an optical adhesive 4. The first bend 23 includes a portion of the non-light emitting part 22, and is bent toward an edge of the non-light emitting part 22. Thus, the apparent plane size of the non-light emitting part 22 is reduced and the width of the frame area 12 is narrowed, while the display panel 2 and the cover panel 5 are laterally in contact, so that leakage of the optical adhesive 4 is suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
