Abstract:
To provide a display device capable of easily and quickly switching display of shapes of more minute patterns, using an optical fiber.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a multi-core fiber 30; a light source 10 for emitting a plurality of colors of light with different wavelengths; and a light source control part 20 for switching the color of the light emitted from the light source 10. The light source 10 is provided so that the light emitted from the light source 10 is incident in a deviated manner to some cores 300 out of a plurality of cores 300, the plurality of cores 300 are arranged so as to construct the number of display patterns, the number being equal to the number of kinds of colors of the light emitted from the light source 10 and are separated each other in a cross section direction of the multi-core fiber 30, and a core length, a distance between cores, and a core diameter are set so that an intensity pattern of the light emitted from the plurality of cores 300 is different by cross talk between the cores 300 for each color of the light incident from the light source 10, and the light source control part 20 switches the color of the light emitted from the light source 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
