Abstract:
To provide a display device with which it is possible to suppress the occurrence of luminance unevenness.SOLUTION: In a display device 100, a designated luminance value to each pixel is determined by a display control unit 30 using a degradation index and the degree of degradation of each pixel. The degradation index is a value indicating, as an initial characteristic value, the susceptibility to a degradation in luminance. Each pixel differs in the designated luminance value depending on an image displayed, and so the light emission time and luminance value of each pixel are mutually different. History information includes these light emission times and designated luminance values, and the degree of degradation of each pixel is calculated by a display data analysis unit 35 using this history information. The display control unit 30 determines the designated luminance value to each pixel using the degradation index and the degradation degree, so that the designated luminance value is determined while taking into account a luminance degradation per pixel. Thus, it is thereby made possible to suppress the occurrence of luminance unevenness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
