Abstract:
To provide a display device capable of making a part on a side of a panel retainer opposite with respect to a display panel side is hardly seeable even when the display panel is seen in an oblique direction in relation to a display surface.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a display panel having a video display part and a black band part encircling the video display part; a frame provided so as to encircle the display panel; and a panel retainer that extends inward from the frame and retains a circumferential edge of the display panel on a back side of the black band part. A part on an opposite side of a distal surface of the panel retainer with respect to the display panel side is positioned on the frame side with respect to a part on the display panel side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
