Abstract:
To provide a display device capable of displaying an aerial image and a mirror image in which discomfort is suppressed.SOLUTION: A display device 1 includes: a display part 2 for displaying an image 22; a retroreflective member 3 which is arranged opposite to the display part 2, reflects light in a direction parallel to an incident direction, and has a plurality of first through holes 32; a retardation member 4 which is arranged opposite to the retroreflective member 3, has a plurality of second through holes 42 provided so as to overlap to a position of the first through hole 32, and changes a polarization direction of the incident light; and a reflection type polarization member 5 which is arranged opposite to the retardation member 4, reflects light from the display part 2 output through the first through holes 32 and the second through holes 42 in a direction of the retardation member 4 and transmits light polarized by reflected by the retroreflective member 3 through the retardation member 4, and displays a mirror image 52 formed by having a mirror surface 510 together with an aerial image 26 imaged by the transmitting light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
