Title:
DISPLAY LABEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000132106
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To make display label visually recognizable whether it has been heated or not, by coloring by heating so as to express a character or a figure showing that a commodity has been heated.

A thermosensitive coloring layer 6 coloring by heating is formed on one surface of a base material 5 of this display label 4 made of a paper or a plastic film, while a thermosensitive adhesive layer 7 is applied on the other surface as an adhesive layer. A concealing layer 8 formed on the surface of the thermosensitive coloring layer 6 covers areas except prescribed characters or letters to be colored by heating such as 'Heated' so that the coloring of the areas caused by heating do not appear. If required, pre-printing 9 is applied on the surface of the concealing layer 8 as fixed information. The concealing layer 8 is formed by coating, usually with colorless printing ink or the like containing a pigment such as calcium carbonate, or possibly with white or other color ink. The display label 4 is wholly white, while the thermosensitive coloring layer 6 can be colored in a single color or multicolor, such as black, red, or the like.
