To reliably make an effect both on a photo-addressable display element and a process execution means, in a display medium having the photo-addressable display element.
The display medium 10 acquires a drive voltage signal for driving the photo-addressable display element 15, and a communication signal to be supplied to a communication part 16 with one pair of electrodes 11a, 11c. The drive voltage signal has a lower frequency than the communication signal. Capacitors 12a, 12c and a transformer 13 supply a signal with a cutoff frequency or higher to the communication part 16 and supply a signal with the frequency less than the cutoff frequency to the photo-addressable display element 15. Therefore, when the cutoff frequency of the capacitors 12a, 12c is set suitably, the drive voltage signal is supplied to the photo-addressable display element 15 and the communication signal is supplied to the communication part 16. Since the drive voltage signal and the communication signal are supplied to the pair of electrodes 11a and 11c, for example, the communication signal is prevented from being supplied to the process execution means (an IC tag for camouflage) which is different from the communication part 16.
