Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve stability and qualitative feeling of a display by forming a meter body of an analog type using a hand while forming a meter face of a digital type using an electronic display element so that only merits of both of the types are utilized. CONSTITUTION:A display meter device has a speedometer and others arranged on an instrument panel of an automobile. The display meter device in this case is constituted with a hand type analog meter 27, an LCD display section 32 forming a dial face of the analog meter consisting of an electronic display element, and an on-off display control circuit 46 for making the display on the dial face 32 on or off according to the on/off condition of an ignition key switch A connected to a battery B. With this constitution, a display meter having merits of both analog and digital types can be obtained securing stability and visibility of the display with the analog meter 27 while improving qualitative feeling and appearance with the dial face 32.
