Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display method for three-dimensional image by which a suitable visual distance is shortened and a display state is switched to be optimum corresponding to the position of an observer.
SOLUTION: Concerning the display method for three-dimensional image by which picture element groups 6L for left eye for displaying an image for left eye and picture element groups 6R for right eye for displaying an image for right eye are alternately displayed along horizontal direction and beams from the left and right picture element groups 6L and 6R are made incident while being split to the left and right eyes of the observer, the left and right picture element groups are composed of horizontally arranged red picture elements 1R, green picture elements 1G and blue picture elements 1B and corresponding to the position of head of the observer, it is switched and controlled whether the images to be displayed at the respective picture elements 1R, 1G and 1B are images for left eye or the images for right eye.
