This display panel supporting device includes the fixed member 5 being fixed to put its rear surface along a vertical face to be fixed, and the movable member 6 having a front side on which a display panel 3 is mounted. This display panel supporting device also includes a connection supporting member 7 for connecting the fixed member 5 and the movable member 6 mutually and driving the movable member 6 to move freely from a retreat position close to the fixed member 5 up to an advance position being more forward than the retreat position. The movable member 6 can turn freely at the advance position and moves in a non-turn state when moving forward and backward between the retreat position and the advance position.
