Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts used and construct the device concerned in a small size by encapsulating an indicator element and an integrated circuit with a shield member.
CONSTITUTION: An LSI chip 15 is adhered fast to the inner surface of a lower glass base board 13 through an adhesion layer 16 and insulation layer 17 of high heat resistant resin and covered with a metal shield member 18. An indicator element is arranged between the named base board 13 and an upper glass base board 12, and a glass vessel is formed by side glasses 14, and encapsulation is made using the shield member. This enables small and thin constructing of the whole display device, which consists of a display panel 11, a driver circuit, etc.
