Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify replacement of a getter by a construction wherein an inner surface of a cap is pushed by a getter with its one end held on an opening in an end portion in the direction of a neck of a magnetic screening cap, and the other end of the getter pushes a conductive layer of a corn while contacting the conductive layer electrically. CONSTITUTION: An opening 31 is made at an end portion in the direction of a neck of a magnetic screening cap 15, and a getter holder 21 to contain a getter 16 is fixed to an elastic bracket 23 through a rod 22. One end of this elastic bracket 23 is pushed against an inner surface of the cap 15 by penetrating through the opening 31 of the cap 15 and a rim 27 of the other end is pushed against a conductive layer 1 7 by each elastic energization so that the both ends are electrically contacted. By this construction, the getter 16 is easily removed from the neck and replaced using an inserting tool. Thereby, a structure of the getter 16 and the cap 15 is simplified and a display tube can be repaired easily.
