Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent dielectric breakage and extend tube life by reducing occurrence of ion migration by Na ion.
CONSTITUTION: In a display tube for light source in which a front glass 2A having a phosphor screen 5 former on the inner surface, a glass bulb 1 having a carbon film 7 formed on the inner wall surface, and a stem glass 11 having a cathode body structure 14 loaded thereon are sealed by flit glasses 3, 12, the front glass 2A is formed from a glass having an electric resistivity of volume resistivity 1014Ω.cm (60°C) or more.
