Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a noise in a state of a pseudo outline to be generated at a part where gradation varies smoothly in the case of dividing one field into plural sub-fields and gradation-displaying animation by using a pulse width modulation display system.
SOLUTION: In this display device for digital display, plural sub-field data storing circuits 32 provided in respective display elements 31 successively writes display information of each sub-field corresponding to each element 31 by the unit of sub-field to store them by the portion of one field; reading is executed by batch-reading display information for one field without using the sub-fields or by collecting the portion of plural sub-fields, and in accordance with it, proper voltage is applied to address electrodes 14a and 14b for displaying.
