Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently remove SOx, alkali metals, etc., in the exhaust from a sintering furnace by effecting the circulation of the circulating gas and the removal while the temperature of the exhaust gas in the exhaust-collecting duct is kept above the condensation point of SOx and the quantity of heat of the circulating gas is so controlled as to become the largest.
CONSTITUTION: Valves A, B, C, and D are closed and valves (a), (b), (c), and (d) are opened, and with respect to the exhaust gas at the respective wind boxes 4 a gas measurement instrument 8 measures the concentration of SOx therein, the temperature of the exhaust gas, and its flow rate. Similarly measurements are done also with respect to the collecting exhaust gas 15. From these measurements the discharged amount of SOx are determined respectively and the temperature of the exhaust gas at an exhaust-collecting duct (at the inlet to an electric dust collector 9) is calculated with respect to each case of circulating the exhaust gas to the sintering furnace from the respective wind boxes in the order from the one showing the largest discharged amount of SOx. And the exhaust gas is circulated from the wind boxes with precedence to the one showing the largest discharged amount of SOx in a manner of having the temperature of the exhaust gas above the condensation point of SOx.
