PURPOSE: To discharge film as uniform scrap film from an outlet of a disposer by providing a center slitter between clip chains which slits a strip-shaped object and holding the object evenly with clips on both sides.
CONSTITUTION: A strip-shaped object, such as film, is fed into a disposer with its edges gripped by clips 2. As a certain period of time elapses after feeding is started, the film 1 splits to become scrap film. Subsequently, as a center slitter 20 located between chains 18 of clips 2 rises, a slit is made in the film 1 that has been scrapped, and the film 1 is conveyed, with its edges gripped evenly and uniformly with the clips on both sides, to the outlet of the disposer for positive discharge. After gripping with the clips 2 at the inlet of the disposer has been done positively and stabilized, the center slitter is returned to its original position, and the film 1 is discharged from the outlet as film that has undergone enlargement.
