Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a food having high nutritive and tonic effect, wherein protein and fat of a snapping turtle are dissolved in honey, by adding blood collected from snapping turtle separated from its head and dried ground material of main body of snapping turtle to honey, preserving the blend for a given period, filtering it.

CONSTITUTION: Blood collected from main body of snapping turtle separated from its head is added to honey, and it is preserved separately not to be coagulated. While the main body of snapping turtle from which the blood is taken out is decomposed, eluted fats are collected, internal organs are extracted, the resultant materials are washed, frozen, and processed into a ground material. It is immersed in the blend of honey and blood stored separately in a weight ratio of the ground material to honey of 1:(6W10), preserved at 40°C constant temperature state with stirring occasionally for 15W20 days, so that protein of snapping turtle is dissolved in the honey as much as possible. The mixture is then filtered, and separated into the ground material and filtrate, the ground material is boiled with an equivalent amount of water at 95W100°C for 8W9hr, protein is extracted, and the extracted solution and the eluted fats are added to the filtrate, to give the desired food.
