Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable time until a location where an output of an object position detection sensor becomes the largest to be reduced by reducing the number of samplings. CONSTITUTION:A distance X between a reflection type photo interrupter 1 and a reflection plate 2 is changed by operating a reflection plate drive part 4 and a measuring equipment part 3 and then an output Y of the reflection type photo interrupter 1 is measured, thus obtaining N data Xi, Yi (i=1, 2,...). An approximation expression Y=f(X) where the output Y of the reflection type photo interrupter 1 is expressed by the distance X to a reflection plate 2 is calculated by the method of least squares with an approximation calculation means 10 within a control part using these N data. Further, a difference (e) between a function value f(Xi) at a same distance Xi and a measurement data Yi of an output is calculated by an error calculation means 11. An error judgment means 12 examines if this error (e) is smaller than a specified value and then the approximation expression Y=f(X) is set to a function expression between the output Y of the reflection type photo interrupter 1 and the distance X when the difference (e) becomes smaller than the specified value. Xmax when the output Y becomes the maximum is calculated from this expression and the reflection plate 2 is moved to a position of Xmax and is fixed.
