Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily detect the distance to a body to be measured at a high speed by simple constitution by dividing a photocurrent which flows to a semiconductor position detector by a current which flows to one of a couple of electrodes of the semiconductor position detector. CONSTITUTION:Currents IA and IB led out of the semiconductor position detector 4 are converted and amplified by operational amplifiers U1 and U2 to obtain voltage values VA and VB. Then an operational amplifier U3 calculates the sum VA+VB of the signal voltage values and an operational amplifier U4 inverts the signal voltage VA. Then an analog divider 23 calculates (VA+VB)/VA and then its output value is the arithmetic result of (IA+IB)/IA, which is proportional to the distance.
