Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed processing type controller which is simple in system constitution, light in the load on the communication work of each controller, actualized by a small-scale circuit, and easily changed in specifications.
SOLUTION: A repeating controller 1 uses the 1st protocol for a communication with an external tool 7 through the 1st communication channel 8 and uses the 2nd protocol for a communication with subcontrollers 2 and 3 through the 2nd communication channel 9, thus repeats a communication between the external tool 7 and subcontrollers 2 and 3 through those operations. Further, the repeating controller 1 has a writable nonvolatile memory 111 having respective partitioned storage areas for the subcontrollers 2 and 3 and performs nonvolatile memory access for the subcontrollers 2 and 3 by transmitting the stored data in a corresponding storage area to the subcontrollers 2 and 3 through the 2nd communication channel 9 in response to read access to the storage area by the subcontrollers 2 and 3 and also writing data to be written received through the 2nd communication path 9 in a corresponding storage area in response to write access to the storage area by the subcontrollers 2 and 3.
