PURPOSE: To provide a distributor type fuel injection pump which, in the case where it is loaded on an automobile, a fuel injection quantity during running on a slope can be precisely controlled.
CONSTITUTION: A governor lever 40 is composed of a guide lever 41, a tension lever 42 which rotates round a support point A on the guide lever 41 set up as its axis and a control lever 43. A connecting member 45 provided at one end of the control lever 43 is engaged in the joint hole 21 of a spill ring 20 fitted on the outer periphery of a plunger 10. A weight 22 is press-fittedly fixed to the outer periphery of the spill ring 20. Since, when the fuel injection pump 1 inclines in the direction of an arrow I, balance between the moment of force acting on the anti-plunger side 10 of the control lever 43 and the moment of force acting on a plunger side 10 is excellently kept to the support point A, the movement of the spill ring 20 caused by the inclination of the fuel injection pump 1 is restrained, and even during running on the slope, the fuel injection quantity can therefore be precisely controlled.
