Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new disubstd. urea and thiourea each having cholesterol acyl transferase inhibiting activity as therapeutic agent for the prevention of coronary heart disease, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The new disubstd. urea and thiourea are compds. of formula I [where (m) is 0, 1 or 2; (n) is 1, 2 or 3; Q is O or S; each of X and Y is O or S; A is a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl, etc.; each of R1 and R2 is a 1-6C alkyl, etc.; B is a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl, etc.], e.g. N-[2,6-bis(1-methylethyl)phenyl]-N '-(2-phenyldioxoran-2-yl)methylurea. Each of the compds. is obtd. by allowing a compd. of formula II to react with an isocyanate or isothiocyanate of the formula B-N=C=Q or a compd. of formula III to react with an amine of the formula B-NH2.
