Abstract:
To provide a disused article decision method capable of automatically detecting a disused article, and to provide an article management system capable of immediately warning a user that the user does not purchase the disused article when the user intends to acquire the disused article.
A residual validity period of an article is detected, and a residual amount of the article is measured when the validity period of the article is expired. When the residual amount of that time large as compared to a criterion of unnecessity of the article of an article database 803, it is decided that the article is hardly used or not used at all until the validity period is expired, and the article is determined as the disused article.
