To provide a ditch cover which is lightweight and has a large strength, has no looseness when it is fitted to a side ditch, and which is not choked with sand, soil, etc.

The ditch cover 1 is put over the upper face of a side ditch M. The ditch cover 1 is constituted of a chief member 2 extending in the width direction of the side ditch, an auxiliary member 3 in the longitudinal direction of the side ditch to cross at right angles with the chief member 2, and end plates 4, 4 erected at both breadthwise ends of the chief member 2. A plurality of chief members 2 are set at a wide pitch in the longitudinal direction of the side ditch and the many auxiliary members 3 are set at a narrow pitch in the breadthwise direction. The lower end of the end plates 4, 4 is formed in a downward slantface 4b toward the inside of the side ditch. The slantface 4b is put on the slanting placement face formed in the inner wall of the side ditch M.
