Abstract:
To solve the problem that the antenna diversity hardly improves the receiving characteristics of a radio communication in a frequency hoping system, since its communication channel varies in time at random over a broad communication band.
In communication on a channel being changed by the frequency hopping, data about its receiving characteristics are stored in a communication history memory 7. For selecting an antenna, past receiving characteristics data stored in the history memory 7 are referred to determine a channel having similar receiving characteristics to the current receiving channel. Thus, the antenna selection is made en bloc to improve the receiving characteristics by the antenna diversity.
