PURPOSE: To prevent a condition of divided winding by providing a yarn detecting feeler before in the vicinity of an end part of a rewinding package, which doubles two yarns to be rewound, and deciding the divided winding when a plurality of signals are generated, while the yarn performs two traverses, by the yarn detecting feeler.
CONSTITUTION: A single pulse signal is generated in each one turn of a pulley 3 by a feeler F1 and in each traverse of a yarn by a feeler F2 respectively, while each diameter of a pulley 3 of a motor M and a pulley 2 of a traverse drum 1 is set to a relation such that the yarn performs two traverses (one reciprocation) when the pulley 3 makes one turn. Then a single signal is generated by the feeler F2 while the feeler F1 makes one turn, when the two yarns are normally wound overlapping, and two or more signals are generated because the respective two yarns traverse the feeler F2 with an interval when divided winding is generated. Here the divided winding is decided so that an alarm is generated while stopping a rewinding device.
