Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a work to regulate a backlash between a worm and a worm wheel.
SOLUTION: A dividing head is formed that the worm is divided into a hollow worm body having a duel lead worm tooth and a drive shaft fitted in the worm body and the worm body and the drive shaft are pressed by the annular part of an assembly apparatus and intercoupled through friction engagement. This constitution moves a worm body in an axial direction as the worm body is rotated based on the drive shaft and regulates a backlash between the worm wheel and the worm.
