To provide a doctor apparatus wherein positional adjustment of a doctor blade can be carried out during operation, positional shift does not occur after the adjustment, an unreasonable working posture is not required even when adjustment and confirmation are simultaneously carried out, it is hardly influenced by the skill of an operator and a load on an operation for carrying out the positional operation is lightened.

The doctor apparatus comprises a doctor holder for holding a doctor blade; a slider for holding the doctor holder; a doctor base for holding the slider so that it can be moved in contact with a sliding surface; and a positional adjustment means capable of being stopped at a required position by adjusting a relative position of the slider and the doctor base by the movement of the slider.
