Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of a doctor blade by a method wherein local wears, which tend to develop at the portions of the doctor blade contacting with the edge parts of a plate cylinder, are suppressed.
SOLUTION: In a doctor holder 8A having a type, in which a doctor blade 7 is pinched between a upper plate 11A and a lower plate, recessed parts 11c are formed at the under surfaces at both the edges of the upper plate 11A towards a plate cylinder 1 so as not to bring the plate cylinder into contact with the doctor blade 7. Thus, the portions of the doctor blade 7 contacting with the edge parts of the plate cylinder is realized to be relieved towards the upper plate 11A and the pressing forces to the edge parts of the plate cylinder, resulting in suppressing the local wears tending to develop at the portions.
