Abstract:
To provide a document conveying device capable of housing a second discharge tray and switching paths in sync with the use of the second discharge tray.SOLUTION: A document conveying device 21 comprises a conveying case 31, a feed tray 33, a first discharge tray 34, a second discharge tray 35 disposed on the opposite side of the feed tray 33 across the conveying case 31 and rotating between a use attitude F1 and a housing attitude, a detector 36 for detecting the attitude of the second discharge tray 35, a first conveying path 45 formed in a linear shape, a second conveying path 46 formed in a U-shape, a third conveying path 47 formed in a linear shape, and a switching part 60 for making the first conveying path 45 communicate with either one of the second conveying path 46 and the third conveying path 47. When the detector 36 detects the change of the attitude of the second discharge tray 35 from the housing attitude to the use attitude F1 in a state where the first conveying path 45 communicates with the second conveying path 46, the switching part 60 makes the first conveying path 45 communicate with the third conveying path 47.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
