PURPOSE: To easily make a return to an original position and to use a return position for the specification of a confirmation position after document preparation by storing the return position during the preparation of a document.
CONSTITUTION: A storage device 4 is stored with the document position to which a return is made after document preparation/correction and document position information at the return position is stored; and then a position different from that in current preparation is displayed with a screen control key, etc., and after the preparation/correction of the displayed position, the original position stored on a simple device is displayed on the screen. Then when there is an indication for the storage of the document preparation position during document preparation, the current document preparation position is stored in a storage device 42. Then a correction position is displayed with the screen control key 1, etc., and an error is corrected or marked. Further, there is an indication for a return to the stored original document position, the stored document position is displayed. Consequently, the return to the original document position can easily be made.
