Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a document including characters along which kana is given by displaying the same character string in a text in the same line regardless of the display/non-display of kana while increasing the number of characters to be displayed on one screen.
SOLUTION: When there is a space where kana and kana indicators can be displayed at the end of a line for characters "Ruri (Chinese characters)" for which kana is to be given, kana is displayed surrounded by the kana indicators in the same line. When there is no space where kana and the kana indicators are displayed at the end of a line for characters "Biwa" along which kana is to be given, the characters along which kana is to be given are arrayed shifted by an interval D at the lower side. Thus, a space which is twice as large as the interval D is generated between the characters of "Biwa" along which kana is to be given and the upper character. Then, the character string of "Biwa (Japanese syllabary)" being kana is arrayed at the upper side of the characters of "BIWA" along which kana is to be given.
