PURPOSE: To obtain the color print result by securing a color printing function.

CONSTITUTION: The editing conditions and the character data are received from an input means 20 and given to an editing process means 40. Then the edited data are received from the means 40 and stored in a memory means 30. The color information and the position information are received from a picture reading means 50. The position information is stored in the means 30 and the color information is stored in the corresponding color information memory means 31-34 respectively. When the data on each page is stored in the means 30, the contents of the means 31-34 are sent to a color-based print means 61 together with the contents of the means 30 sent to a print means 60 respectively under the control of a control means 10. Thus the color print result can be obtained.
